Hats and Fun Books

It's been a while since I last posted, but I've gotten tons of knitting done!

First I made a hat out of some of the yarn my favorite sweater, which is made from Lopi, is from (the hat I showed the work in progress from in this post).

Here's how it turned out:

Then I made a nice blue cabled hat out of Lambs Pride Bulky.

I have also started a pair of mittens from that same yarn! I've finished the first one already!

One reason why I've been so excited about knitting is because we got a bunch of new books that are spectacular!

The first book is Very Easy Circular Knits. I really enjoyed this book! It wasn't necessarily the patterns that I fell in love with, but more so all the stitch patterns in the back! It was very inspiring and I learned A LOT!

Then came Easy Knitted Socks. Although I myself have never knitted a pair of socks, after looking at this book I'm thinking of making tons! These aren't just your regular socks...they're all sorts and I really like them! And all the socks I can imagine wearing!

Lastly is Greetings from Knit Cafe. I LOVED this book! It has tons of cool, stylish patterns. There were only a few things that seemed a little over the top (the Kid's Club's Favorite Skirt for example was a little too fuzzy for my taste) but the rest I LOVED!
